Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Impact Planner (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around your data. We keep it plain — no legal maze.

1. Who We Are

Impact Planner is a productivity app designed to help neurodivergent and purpose-driven people manage their tasks, time, and focus. We are an independent product and not affiliated with Google, Anthropic, or any other third-party service we integrate with.

Contact: For any privacy-related questions, email us at info@podcastimpactstudio.com

2. What Data We Collect

Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.

Planner data: Tasks, containers, goals, notes, scheduled times, and other content you create inside the app. This is stored in our database and synced across your devices.

Google Calendar data: When you connect Google Calendar, we request read/write access to create and view calendar events on your behalf. We store an OAuth access token and refresh token to maintain this connection. We do not store your calendar events in our database — we only read/write them in real time via the Google Calendar API.

Gmail data: When you connect Gmail, we request read-only access to your inbox to surface action items. We scan email subjects and bodies using AI to extract tasks. We do not store your emails — they are processed in memory and immediately discarded after task extraction.

Usage data: Basic usage information such as page visits and feature usage, collected via Vercel's analytics. No cookies are used for tracking.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to provide and improve the Impact Planner service. Specifically:

  • To sync your tasks and planner data across sessions
  • To create, read, and update Google Calendar events on your behalf
  • To scan Gmail and extract actionable tasks using AI
  • To generate personalized daily affirmations (Pro/Premium users)
  • To power the AI Productivity Companion (Compass) session summaries

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

Supabase

Stores your account, planner data, and OAuth tokens. Data is encrypted at rest. Supabase Privacy Policy →

OpenAI

Powers the Brain Dump parser, Gmail task extraction, image scanning, affirmations, and Compass sessions. Your content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing and is not used to train their models under our API agreement. OpenAI Privacy Policy →

Google (OAuth)

We use Google OAuth to connect Gmail and Google Calendar. Your Google credentials are never seen or stored by us — authentication happens directly with Google. Google Privacy Policy →

Vercel

Hosts the app and may collect basic request logs. Vercel Privacy Policy →

Stripe

Processes payments for Pro and Premium subscriptions. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe Privacy Policy →

5. Google API Scopes

Impact Planner's use of Google user data is limited to the following scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — to create and read calendar events
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly — to read Gmail messages for task extraction

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your planner data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (tasks, goals, planner history, OAuth tokens) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Gmail content is never stored — it is processed in memory and discarded immediately after task extraction.

Google Calendar events exist in your Google account, not ours. Disconnecting Google Calendar removes our access but does not delete events from your calendar.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Revoke Google access at any time via Settings → Account, or through your Google account permissions
  • Export your planner data (contact us and we will provide a JSON export)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@podcastimpactstudio.com.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest (Supabase), and storing OAuth tokens in HttpOnly cookies where possible. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Impact Planner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice.
